The CE mark
CE marking is a part of the EU’s harmonisation legislation. A large number of products require CE marking in order to be sold in the European Union. By affixing the CE marking to a product, a manufacturer declares that the product meets all the legal requirements for CE marking and can be sold throughout the European Economic Area. They signify that products sold in the EEA have been assessed to meet high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements.
The UKCA mark
The UKCA marking is the UK product marking that is used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most goods which previously required the CE marking.
