Heat pack and soft toy all in one, in the shape of Sebra’s well-known elephant, Fanto. The elephant heat pack is made from certified organic cotton plush and has a bag of kapok seeds in his belly that you can remove and heat in the microwave if you want to use Fanto as a heat pack.

Fanto is 25 cm long and is the softest elephant you can imagine. He is made from certified organic cotton plush and has fine velvet details on his eyes, feet and trunk.

The elephant will quickly become the child’s best friend as they play, cuddle and snuggle with him at bedtime. His extra weightiness gives him a calming effect, e.g. when placed on the child’s belly.

The heat pack is filled with a small pouch of kapok seeds. You can remove the bag from the elephant and heat it for one minute in the microwave at 600 W. This gives you a warm soft toy that you can use again and again whenever your child needs a little extra warmth when they’re feeling under the weather or after a cold swim. You can also heat the bag of kapok seeds in the oven for 10 minutes at 100℃ – shake and turn it after 5 minutes to distribute the heat.

PLEASE NOTE: Check the temperature of the bag before inserting it in Fanto to ensure that it is not too hot.

Designed in Denmark, the Elephant heat pack is a great gift to take with you on your first postnatal visit.

Toys for the Lying Stage

During the first months of your baby’s life, they are in the lying stage. This is when your baby begins to discover their body and the world around them.

Support this development by giving your baby tummy time, talking to them, making eye contact, and offering calm, sensory-stimulating toys that catch their attention and encourage movement.

Tips for tummy-time play

  • Give your baby short periods on their tummy each day to practice lifting their head and supporting themselves on their arms.
  • Talk to your baby and make eye contact – it strengthens their senses and sense of connection.
  • Use sensory toys that capture your baby’s gaze and motivate them to reach out and move.

Choosing the right toys

Offer calm toys that stimulate the senses, such as:

  • Rattles, fabric books, and activity books.
  • Play gyms and hanging toys that move or make sounds.
  • Soft toys and figures that your baby can grasp and explore.

The first 4 stages of a baby’s development

Lying Stage

In this stage, the baby lies down. Focus on play that allows the baby to follow toys with their eyes, hear sounds, and feel different textures.

Creeping Stage

In this stage, the baby begins to roll, turn, and move forward on their tummy. Play with toys that motivate the baby to reach out and explore their surroundings.

Crawling Stage

The baby learns to crawl and move freely. Strengthen balance and coordination through floor play with balls, blocks, and small obstacles.

Walking Stage

The baby stands up and takes their first steps. Create space for movement and play where the baby can challenge their balance and explore the world on their own two feet.
